How to Choose the Correct Tri-Clamp Size

Tri-Clamp sizing is based on the outside diameter (OD) of the tube, not the outside diameter of the clamp or flange.

For example:

If the tube OD measures 2 inches, the correct Tri-Clamp size is 2 inches.
If the flange OD of an existing Tri-Clamp fitting measures approximately 2.5 inches (2.516″), the fitting is typically a 2-inch Tri-Clamp size.

Important Notes:

1/2″ and 3/4″ Tri-Clamp sizes use approximately the same flange OD of 0.984″.
1″ and 1-1/2″ Tri-Clamp sizes use approximately the same flange OD of 1.984″.
Always identify the Tri-Clamp size by measuring the tube OD, rather than relying only on the flange OD.
