304 SS Sanitary Tri-Clamp Pipeline Strainer – 5 Inch

The 304 SS Sanitary Tri-Clamp Pipeline Strainer – 5 Inch is designed for liquid pipelines where particulate removal and hygienic processing are required. The straight-through pipeline design allows the strainer to be installed directly into a sanitary fluid line, while the removable stainless steel mesh screen allows inspection, cleaning, and maintenance.

The strainer uses sanitary Tri-Clamp connections for convenient installation and removal. Its 304 stainless steel construction makes it suitable for a range of food, beverage, dairy, brewing, and general hygienic liquid-processing applications.

Key Features

304 stainless steel construction for sanitary liquid-processing applications
Tri-Clamp connections for convenient installation and maintenance
5-inch configuration for applications requiring this specific pipeline size
Straight-through pipeline design for inline installation
Removable stainless steel mesh screen for inspection and cleaning
Suitable for food, beverage, dairy, brewing, pharmaceutical, and other hygienic processing systems
Designed for installation in liquid pipelines where particulate protection is required

How the Pipeline Strainer Works

The sanitary pipeline strainer is installed in the liquid pipeline before downstream equipment or process components that require protection from unwanted particles.

As liquid passes through the strainer, the stainless steel mesh screen retains particles larger than the selected mesh opening. The screened liquid continues through the pipeline, while the removable screen can be taken out for cleaning or inspection when required.

The straight-through configuration also allows the component to function as a sanitary inline strainer in a liquid processing system.

5-Inch Sanitary Pipeline Strainer for Hygienic Processing

This 5-inch pipeline strainer is intended for sanitary fluid-processing systems where stainless steel construction and cleanable components are important.

Typical applications include:

Food and beverage processing
Dairy processing
Brewing systems
Pharmaceutical processing
Cosmetic and personal-care production
Liquid culture and fermentation systems
Hygienic industrial liquid pipelines

The actual suitability of the strainer depends on the process liquid, operating conditions, connection size, mesh specification, and system requirements.

Tri-Clamp Connection

Tri-Clamp connections allow the pipeline strainer to be installed and removed without complicated threaded connections. This can be useful in sanitary processing systems where components may need to be inspected, cleaned, or replaced regularly.

The appropriate connection size should be selected according to the pipeline and equipment configuration.

Removable Mesh Screen

The removable stainless steel mesh screen is the main filtration element of the pipeline strainer.

Different mesh specifications can be selected according to the required particle retention and process conditions. Mesh selection should consider particle size, liquid viscosity, flow requirements, pressure drop, cleaning requirements, and the equipment located downstream.

Please contact Haoqintech if you need help selecting the appropriate mesh specification for your application.

Pipeline Strainer vs. Y-Strainer

Both pipeline strainers and Y-strainers can be used to remove particulate matter from liquid pipelines, but their configurations are different.

A straight-through pipeline strainer places the inlet and outlet on the same flow path, while a Y-strainer uses a branch-shaped body with the screening element positioned in the Y-section.

For applications where a straight-through sanitary configuration is preferred, this 5-inch pipeline strainer provides a compact option with removable mesh screening.

For other pipeline configurations, see our sanitary Y-strainer range.
